Online Vintage Stores - Do you want to thrift happily?

By

One of my many obsessions

So first off, I have several different obsessions and this just happens to be one. VINTAGE. Now I consider myself lucky because I happen to live about a block from one incredible vintage store called Flower Child. When I first walked into this store I had to be about 10 years old and I was just blown out of my mind. They have everything from clothing, furniture, jewelry, records, etc. The store I'm so lucky to live so close to actually is their 2nd store. They're original store is located in Cleveland, Ohio and boy will I be content when I get to go see it. This store actually got me into vintage clothing. The best part about this store is the prices aren't ridiculous, especially for a small city girl like me that only has a part time job. I feel like I'm going through a time warp when I'm there. Recently my mother has started to call it my second home, because I'm in there so often. Now I'm going on and on about this one store but trust me this is not the only place I like to feel my wardrobe up at. I really like to look at different thrift stores as well, they usually have a couple great things here and there that catch my hazel eye. But believe or not I wanted to move on and find somewhere else to find amazing vintage pieces and I resorted to the wonderful internet. I had never bought anything on the internet when I thought of this and was really iffy about it. It took me a good week to do it, my friends laughed at me because it was pretty embarrassing, seeing that everyone does it now. So I went on and looked on google for Vintage Clothing Stores and the first thing to pop up was http://www.modcloth.com/.

I love to dress like this, and this photo is from one of my favorite online stores.

Ohhh la la...my oh my was I excited

Now I am not going to tell you how long ago it was that I started buying things online because it's quite embarrassing. But I was absolutely ecstatic when I landed my eyes on even the homepage. I went straight for the tab that said Vintage and started browsing but to my dismay everything seemed to be sold. Everyday I would check and everyday I would get more disappointed. Now I'm not bagging on the site whatsoever, because this store is amazing. But pretty much that week I kept checking and seeing nothing available, I was so frustrated and didn't see why I couldn't catch one measly thing that wasn't sold. What's a girl to do, I went to my best friend and whined. I'm a huge cry baby and I want what I want but I just couldn't seem to get it. I went back on the site after a couple weeks and decided to check out just the regular clothes and now I just can't get enough. In my eyes most of the clothes are retro and vintage inspired, and you know what I'm completely okay with that. I even found another store I've fell in love with called http://www.shopruche.com/ and it's quite amazing as well. I kind of feel like I pretty much babbled throughout this whole hub and if that's the case I apologize and would ask that you bear with me, this is my first hub and I swear I'll try to get a little better.
